GJARA Newsletter
Morning all:
One of our most sacred rights as Americans and REALTORS® is our right to vote. We are all aware of the importance of our vote on the leaders, issues and proposals that impact our lives Nationally, State-wide, and locally. As REALTORS®, issues around housing are particularly important. Issues around “Affordable Housing” have been and continue to be, a hot topic everywhere. By now, many of you are aware of proposed ballot issues here in Grand Junction and Mesa County that are hoping to address this issue. Those and other issues have been thoroughly reviewed by the members of our Community Affairs Committee led by Lois Dunn, (they do incredible work on your behalf btw). The minutes of their last meeting on 10/13 are available here: (insert link). Statewide, CAR has produced a CAR Ballot Guide and two videos outlining their positions. They are available at the links below.
CAR Ballot Guide
The CAR Ballot Guide for 2022 is now available! A pdf of the Ballot Guide is attached, or you can access it here: https://issuu.com/coloradorealtors/docs/ballotguide22
Check out CAR’s Ballot Guide videos on YouTube:
CAR Ballot Guide – Liz Peetz, CAR’s VP of Government Affairs, gives an update on the issues on this year’s ballot
CAR Ballot Guide: Proposition 123 – Learn more about Prop 123 on Housing
I ask only two things of you; 1- Exercise your right to vote, and before you do, 2-Take the time to become an informed voter.
